For Christmas 2022, the Valladolid City Council put us in charge of a Christmas video mapping at the Cavalry Academy, and the result was a visual spectacle that enchanted audiences of all ages.

The City Council had a specific objective: to start Christmas with a that will excite everyone. From Visura Studio, we propose a fascinating narrative with in front, whose critical mission was to the city at the crucial moment before the lights turn on.
Process
[ 1. Technical direction ]
Before diving into the creative universe of the project, it was essential to carry out an exhaustive analysis of the location. We meticulously evaluated the layout of all the Layher systems in the plaza, locating the P.A.s and determining the optimal position for the 6 20k lumen projectors, as well as the front lighting of the façade. With that solid foundation, we moved towards 3D modeling of the 44 meter wide by 25 meter high façade, backed by the precision of photogrammetry.
[ 2. Creative direction ]
With the technical base ready, we start the creative stage. We created a story with 5 unique characters, modeled and animated just for this show. We developed and recorded a voice-over script and composed an immersive soundtrack. Then we delved into graphic design, using a mix of videomapping techniques, which included everything from motion graphics and pixel art to 12fps manual animation and 3D stage design.
[ 3. Final delivery ]
What we got was an 11-minute Christmas video mapping that exuded pure magic and luminosity. Both the opening and closing stood out for their striking animations. But the heart of the show was Ari, who took the audience from one stage to another, talking with various characters until they found the light, which turned out to be in the heart of each child in attendance.
